At the closing ceremony of the Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit (EVIS) on 23 May at ADNEC, an all-female team from Dubai National School Al Barsha emerged victorious, winning the prestigious 2024 Student Innovator Award with their project, Revive.

Revive, a transformative initiative aimed at enhancing the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem, provides a seamless platform for trading EV parts, comparing insurance, and fostering a community of EV enthusiasts. This student-led project addresses crucial gaps in the EV market, including parts availability and affordability, which are essential for supporting the UAE’s ambition of achieving a 50% electric vehicle fleet by 2050.

The competition showcased a variety of innovative projects from students across the region, all demonstrating impressive creativity and dedication to advancing e-mobility. The entries were evaluated on innovation, sustainability, technical viability, and potential market impact, with Revive scoring highly in all categories.

“We are immensely proud to honor the Revive team for their innovative approach and dedication to sustainability,” said Mr. Naser Al Bahri, CEO of Nirvana MICE. “These young women are not just the future of the industry; they are actively shaping it today with their forward-thinking solutions.”

Revive’s platform stands as a beacon of student innovation, promising to make significant contributions to the EV landscape by facilitating easier access to parts and insurance, enhancing vehicle longevity, and reducing ownership costs. This award recognizes their potential to drive significant change and supports their journey towards a more sustainable future.
