The 4th edition of the Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit (EVIS) 2025 concluded after three high-energy days at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, from 21 to 23 April 2025. As the Middle East’s premier event for electric mobility, EVIS once again solidified Abu Dhabi’s role as a regional hub for sustainable transport, smart infrastructure, and clean technology.

The 4th edition of the Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit (EVIS) 2025 concluded after three high-energy days at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, from 21 to 23 April 2025. As the Middle East’s premier event for electric mobility, EVIS once again solidified Abu Dhabi’s role as a regional hub for sustainable transport, smart infrastructure, and clean technology.

A Regional Epicenter for Innovation

Now firmly established as the MENA region’s leading platform for electric vehicle innovation, EVIS Abu Dhabi 2025 welcomed over 3,000 participants representing more than 30 countries. The show floor was alive with next-generation electric vehicles, intelligent charging systems, cutting-edge battery technologies, and breakthrough robotics.

Thousands of visitors—ranging from investors and policymakers to engineers, academics, and the general public—engaged directly with the technology reshaping the future of mobility. For many, EVIS provided a first-hand look at the transformative power of electric transport.

  • XPeng’s X2 Air Taxi: A fully autonomous flying vehicle that captivated audiences with its futuristic design.
  • Autogo RoboTaxi: A self-driving taxi developed by Abu Dhabi’s Kintsugi Holding and the Integrated Transport Centre.
  • Medasia Marine’s E-Clipse Solar Boats: Emissions-free vessels powered by solar and optional hydrogen technology.
  • Iskraemeco’s EV Charging Ecosystem: Scalable and smart solutions tailored to regional infrastructure needs.
  • Tesla Optimus Gen 2 Robot: A humanoid robot demonstrating advanced mobility and task automation—blurring the lines between EVs and robotics.
  • Farizon H9E Electric Truck Launch: Jameel Motors debuted the Farizon H9E, a next-generation electric truck developed in partnership with Farizon Auto (a Geely Holding brand), marking a significant step in expanding green commercial mobility solutions in the UAE.

Strategy, Policy & the Road Ahead

With more than 50 expert-led sessions, this year’s conference explored the intersection of technology, infrastructure, and policy shaping the future of mobility. Topics ranged from The Future of EVs: Innovations and Policy Drivers for a Cleaner Tomorrow to UAE’s Journey Towards E-Mobility Leadership.

The Outdoor Test Drive Zone gave visitors a unique opportunity to drive the latest EVs on-site, experiencing performance, comfort, and new features up close.

Inside, the E-Circuit Zone provided a tech-focused experience with interactive exhibits on EV motors, battery systems, and power electronics—turning theory into tangible innovation.

EVIS 2025 served as a launchpad for several key initiatives shaping the future of mobility in the UAE and beyond:

  • UAEV Network: A new national program to build over 1,000 EV charging stations by 2028.
  • Battery Recycling Hub in Al Ain: A major facility to support the sustainable reuse of lithium-ion batteries.
  • Hydrogen-Electric Partnership: A new collaboration between ADNOC and leading global EV firms to explore hybrid hydrogen-electric transport solutions.
