The partnership between Uber and WeRide brings cutting-edge autonomous vehicle technology to the UAE. Customers booking rides through Uber now have the option to select autonomous vehicles operated by WeRide. These rides are priced comparably to UberX and Uber Comfort, ensuring accessibility and affordability for all. Initially, safety drivers will accompany the vehicles, with plans to transition to fully driverless operations by 2025.

WeRide, a global leader in autonomous driving technology, has achieved significant milestones in the field. The company holds driverless operation permits in multiple regions, including the UAE, Singapore, China, and the US. Its vehicles have already been successfully tested in Abu Dhabi, providing a reliable and futuristic transportation experience to residents and visitors alike.
