AITO Enters the UAE Luxury EV Market Through Strategic Partnership With Abu Dhabi Motors

AITO has officially entered the UAE, marking its first major step beyond China and a significant move into the Middle East’s luxury electric vehicle market. The brand confirmed its expansion through a strategic partnership with Performance Plus Motors, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Motors (ADM), underscoring the UAE’s growing role as a launchpad for premium electric and intelligent mobility brands.

The agreement was signed in Chongqing in the presence of senior executives from both companies, signalling the strategic importance of the partnership for AITO’s global ambitions and long-term regional growth.

The UAE has long been one of the world’s most influential luxury automotive markets, known for its high consumer expectations, appetite for innovation, and openness to advanced vehicle technologies. For AITO, launching in the country provides immediate brand visibility and credibility while offering a strong base for future expansion across the Middle East.

The move follows recent sightings of AITO vehicles on UAE roads, including its flagship AITO 9, which has been seen in Dubai ahead of the brand’s official market debut. These early appearances have already generated interest among regional luxury EV buyers.

Performance Plus Motors will manage all aspects of AITO’s operations in the UAE, including sales, vehicle deliveries, and after-sales support. The company plans to establish dedicated AITO brand experience and service centres, designed to reflect the brand’s luxury positioning and emphasis on intelligent mobility.

ADM will also support local marketing and brand development efforts, ensuring AITO’s messaging is aligned with regional expectations and customer preferences in a highly competitive premium market.

Although new to the Middle East, AITO enters the UAE with strong global credentials. The brand has produced more than one million vehicles in just 46 months, making it one of the fastest-growing new energy vehicle manufacturers to reach this milestone.

Its flagship model, the AITO 9, has consistently led China’s RMB 500,000-plus segment, reinforcing AITO’s reputation in the luxury intelligent vehicle category. This performance has positioned the brand as a serious contender among established premium automotive names.

AITO vehicles have already completed regional hardware and software adaptations, along with all required certifications for the UAE market. The AITO 9 has also undergone local user test drives, offering customers an early introduction to the brand’s technology, comfort, and driving experience.

Vehicles have arrived at Dubai port and are ready for delivery once the official UAE launch takes place, indicating that the rollout is operationally prepared and imminent.

AITO’s arrival introduces a new competitor into the UAE’s rapidly evolving luxury EV segment, bringing a blend of intelligent technology, premium design, and connected mobility features. Backed by ADM’s established retail and service network, the brand is well positioned to compete as the market continues its shift toward electrification.

The UAE launch is expected to serve as the starting point for AITO’s broader Middle East expansion, reinforcing the country’s role as a regional hub for next-generation automotive innovation.

Developments such as AITO’s entry into the UAE reflect the accelerating transformation of the global electric mobility landscape — a transformation that will be explored at the 5th Edition of Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit (EVIS) and the inaugural EcoMobility Global (EMG), taking place on 13–14 October 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
