Visitors to EVIS Abu Dhabi 2025 got a first look at the RoboTaxi, an innovative self-driving vehicle developed by Autogo, a UAE-based company. This was the first time the RoboTaxi was shown at a major public event.

The Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit (EVIS Abu Dhabi 2025) took place from April 21 to 23, 2025 at the ADNEC Centre and brought together leaders, innovators, and experts in electric and smart mobility from around the world.

Before its public display, the RoboTaxi had already started real-world testing at Emirates Driving Company (EDC) in Abu Dhabi. These trials are part of Autogo’s plan to bring safe and reliable autonomous vehicles to the roads.

The RoboTaxi is part of Autogo’s Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) model. This approach focuses on using intelligent robots to support different services like transport, deliveries, sanitation, and emergency response.

“EVIS brings together the region’s most influential voices in transportation,” said Sean Teo, Managing Director of Kintsugi Holding (Autogo’s parent company). “Being here shows our commitment to developing self-driving technology and helping the UAE lead in this space.”

This showcase is a major step in supporting Abu Dhabi’s vision of becoming a global hub for smart city innovation and next-generation mobility.

EVIS Abu Dhabi 2025 gave the RoboTaxi the perfect platform to connect with partners, government agencies, and the public—and to show that autonomous transport is closer than ever to becoming a reality in the UAE.
