Dubai has once again captured global attention — this time not for record-breaking skyscrapers or self-driving taxis, but for something even more futuristic: a flying car that has just completed its first public flight.

Dubai is set to transform the electric vehicle (EV) landscape with a revolutionary charging breakthrough that could reshape mobility across the UAE.

Dubai has reached a major electric vehicle (EV) charging milestone, with its public network now exceeding 1,270 EV chargers, according to EV Infrastructure News. The achievement was announced by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), who credited strong public–private partnerships for driving this rapid expansion.

According to Gulf News, Dubai is taking a bold step toward sustainable mobility. Parkin, the emirate’s main parking operator, has signed a 10-year deal with charge&go, a subsidiary of global tech group e&, to install 200 ultra-fast EV charging stations across the city.

Masdar City, Abu Dhabi — ADNOC has partnered with U.S. firm Revterra to launch the UAE’s first kinetic battery pilot at the E2GO EV charging hub. The project supports Net Zero 2050 and could transform how electric vehicles are powered across the nation.
